Lysozyme

Lysozyme disrupts the cell walls of certain bacteria, particularly Gram-positive bacteria, lowering their ability to colonize and cause problems within the mouth. It’s central to saliva’s natural antimicrobial functions. For product comparison, Lysozyme should be checked by exact form, plant part or compound type, standardization, amount per serving, and whether it is listed as an active ingredient, other ingredient, or part of a blend. Useful database notes include what it is used for, where it occurs naturally or how it is commonly sourced, and what shoppers should verify on the Supplement Facts label.
