L-Lysine

L-Lysine has been studied for its use in reducing the frequency of herpes simplex virus outbreaks. It may work by influencing the arginine pathways critical for viral replication, making it a strategic component for outbreaks. For product comparison, L-Lysine should be checked by exact form, plant part or compound type, standardization, amount per serving, and whether it is listed as an active ingredient, other ingredient, or part of a blend. Useful database notes include what it is used for, where it occurs naturally or how it is commonly sourced, and what shoppers should verify on the Supplement Facts label.
