Update, May 4, 2021: Today is the day, people! Get out your telescopes and prepare your appetites because Taco Bell is giving out free tacos in honor of the “Taco Moon” tonight. The chain believes the shape of the moon tonight will look *exactly* like one of their beloved tacos and is giving away the menu item for free through the app.
From 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. just hop onto the Taco Bell app or website, sign up for rewards, and you’ll see the special offer on your account. The promotion is the first installment of a new “I See A Taco” campaign that will be launching in the next few months. Here’s to the moon and even more free tacos in our future!
Original, April 28, 2021: There’s no taco like a free taco, and Taco Bell is starting off the month of May with a deal you won’t want to miss out on. Mark your calendars, set your phone alarms, and pencil it into your agenda, because on May 4 Taco Bell is giving out more free tacos to fans than ever before.
You can thank the moon for this promotion because Taco Bell is dubbing the moon phase on May 4 to be the first-ever “Taco Moon.” The chain wants fans to look at the moon that night because its shape will resemble a taco. To help them make the comparison, Taco Bell is giving out free tacos through the app or online. If you’re located in the United States, hop on the Taco Bell app or website from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. to claim yours. You’ll be able to see the offer in the app when you sign up.
This “Taco Moon” promo is in celebration of the major international expansion Taco Bell is currently undergoing. The restaurant is now in 32 markets and there are over 7,000 restaurants worldwide with a plan to have 10,000 restaurants in the next decade.
Free tacos for the Taco Moon is the first installment of a new campaign called “I See A Taco” that will be debuting in the next few months. We’re not exactly what that upcoming campaign will consist of, but if it includes free food and discounts we’ll be keeping you updated. That’s what friends are for!
